Earnings and Results Disclaimer
Last updated 10 September 2026
What this covers
This disclaimer applies to the paid advertising services offered on this site and in any related materials: ongoing advertising management, ad account audits, strategy and consulting work, and any written findings, recommendations or reporting produced as part of them. It also applies to figures, case examples and performance claims published anywhere on this site.
No guaranteed results
Dianna Carlton makes no guarantee, warranty or representation about the results your advertising will produce. Nothing here is a promise of any particular return on ad spend, revenue, profit, cost per acquisition, lead volume, follower growth, reach or conversion rate.
Advertising results depend on factors outside any advertiser’s control, including your offer and pricing, your creative, your website and checkout, your margins, your budget, your market, seasonality, competition and the behaviour of the advertising platforms themselves. Two accounts running identical work will not produce identical outcomes.
Third-party platforms
This work is carried out on advertising platforms owned and operated by other companies, including Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Those platforms control their own algorithms, auction dynamics, delivery systems, approval processes, account policies and pricing, and they change all of it at their own discretion and without notice.
Dianna Carlton has no control over any of that. A platform may change how campaigns deliver, reject or restrict an ad, alter or remove a targeting option, suspend or disable an ad account, change its measurement or reporting, or change its terms. Any of these can affect performance materially, including performance that was previously stable. Compliance with each platform’s advertising policies remains the advertiser’s responsibility, and a policy decision made by a platform is not a failure of the services described here.
Measurement and attribution have limits
Advertising measurement is an estimate, not an audit trail. Platform-reported conversions, analytics tools and your own back-office numbers routinely disagree, and the gaps widen with privacy controls, cookie restrictions, ad blockers, tracking prevention, consent choices, cross-device journeys, modelled or estimated conversions, and each platform’s own attribution windows and rules.
Reporting supplied as part of this work reflects the data the platforms and tools make available at the time it is produced. It is offered in good faith and should be read as directional evidence rather than a precise or complete record of what caused a sale. Figures may be restated by a platform after the fact.
Examples and case results
Results described on this site, including the figures shown under Selected work, come from specific client accounts in specific circumstances. They are examples of what has happened, not what is typical, expected or promised, and they should not be read as an indication of what your account will do.
Historical milestones, including figures for advertising spend managed, revenue generated and years of experience, describe past professional work. They are not a forecast and not a guarantee.
Your own effort and decisions
Outcomes depend heavily on your own execution: the creative you supply, the offer you put in front of people, how quickly you act on findings, the budget you commit and how long you allow work to run. Advertising carries an inherent risk of financial loss, and ad spend paid to a platform is spent whether or not it produces a return. You remain responsible for your own business decisions.
Where advertising is managed on your behalf, ad spend is billed to you directly by the platform, on your own ad account, which you own and control.
Not legal, financial or tax advice
Dianna Carlton is a paid media consultant and a former practising attorney. Nothing on this site or produced through this work is legal, financial, accounting or tax advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using this site, booking a call or engaging these services. Consult your own qualified professionals before making material business decisions.
